Things to do

Enjoy an extraordinary range of spectacular NSW attractions, from magnificent national parks and beautiful beaches, to road trips such as the Grand Pacific Drive, camping and lovely wine regions. There is a fascinating heritage to explore, fun adventures to experience and natural wonders to see.

Strathfield

It is a cool, clear day. A few people are warming themselves in the sun on the wooden benches in Strathfield Square. Children chase seagulls while water tinkles down the tiered circular fountain. I look around. A sign advertises free dancing in the square.  The shop signs across the road are in Korean and English.

Parramatta

Take a wander along the Parramatta River, then jump onto the RiverCat and take the ferry to UNESCO World Heritage-listed Cockatoo Island to enjoy the stunning views over Sydney Harbour, a walk through convict history or discover one of the many art exhibitions throughout the year.

Flemington

Flemington as a suburb no longer exists. It’s now called Homebush West. And the market known to most as Flemington is really the Sydney Markets. That said, I alight at Flemington Station to begin my adventure for the day.
